Festival of Lights Parade

It’s the annual Festival of Lights Parade along Main Avenue. Parade starts in the 500 block of Main Avenue South, near Krengel’s True Value Hardware, 628 Main Ave. S., and proceeds to the 500 block of Main Avenue North.
Several downtown businesses will have extended hours and open houses. It’s also First Friday in town with Hands On, Rudy’s, and Plantscaping hosting special events.

3rd Annual St. Nicholas Comes to Kimberly

Keep warm with the Senior Citizen Center’s chili feed. Stroll through downtown businesses enjoying refreshments and games. Christmas carols will be sung by local artists while we all await the arrival of St. Nicholas riding in on his horse to light up main street and the downtown sky with fireworks in celebration of the beginning of the Christmas Season.

A German style Christmas event with polish dogs and sauerkraut, fresh hot cocoa made on a wood burning stove, open fire pits to keep you cozy, the reading of the story of St. Nicholas, games for the children and St. Nicholas himself will ride in on his horse to greet everyone with gifts and love.
11am ~ The outdoor kitchen is open for free lunch and live music by local artists
12pm ~ Event starts with the reading of the St. Nicholas story by Black Pete
Canned food donations will be collected both days for East End Providers.
CSI Chamber Choir Concert

The Christmas concert program of the CSI Chamber Choir, accompanied by the Magic Valley Chamber Orchestra, will include Messiah, part I (The Christmas portion) and the Hallelujah Chorus as well as seasonal songs and Christmas carols. This concert will feature soloists Rachael Larson (soprano), Ahna Chevalier (sopranos), Anna Majernikova (alto), and Bryce Allen (bass). Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 to the CSI Music Department at the door.
O’Dunken’s Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest will be held on Friday, October 1 from 6:00pm-midnight at O’Dunken’s, 102 Main Ave N. A street party featuring music by Front Porch Flavor will be held from 6-9:00pm. Join the Downtown Merchants on Saturday, October 2 for a car show, sidewalk sales and other events.

Painting downtown with quilts! The Twin Falls Historic Downtown Business Improvement District is sponsoring the Quilt Walk. Many of the local businesses will be displaying quilts in and outside of their shops.
There will be lots of vendors and activities going on in the Historic Down Town area. There will also be Demos at many of the stores and vendor booths and live music at Rudy’s on Friday evening.
We also have two of the Hoffman Challenge Trunk Shows coming for our Quilt Walk. They will be on display at Stitchin’ Time during the Quilt Walk. One of the trunks is Clothing & Accessories and contains 37 items, the other is a Quilt Trunk and contains 40 quilts. All of these items were judged for the finals for the 2009 Hoffman Challenge, accepted for the Trunk Shows, and are being sent across the nation for display. Be sure to stop by and see Stephanie Van Diest’s jacket which is included in the Clothing & Accessory Trunk.
Some of the Laughing Daisy Neighborhood Market Vendors will also be in Twin Falls for the Quilt Walk. You will be able to enjoy a wonderful selection of handmade and homegrown goods. Food, plants, jewelry, furniture and more! If you’ve had a chance to visit it in Kimberly, we know you are going to love it in Twin! If you haven’t visited it in Kimberly you need to come see it in Twin.
