The Twin Falls Optimist Club’s “Lost Wages Night” will be held at the Canyon Crest Event Center on March 9. The event starts at 7pm and includes a casino like atmosphere. This will be an evening of fun, gaming, raffles, silent auctions, food, beverages and lots of fantastic prizes including a 55″ TV, king size mattress set and 1/2 carat Diamond. Proceeds go to numerous projects benefiting children in the Magic Valley. Tickets are $15 for one or $25 for two. Get tickets at the Twin Falls Chamber, Kurt’s Pharmacy, The Mailroom or from Rich Craddock at 308-4565.

The 4th Annual FurrBall Fundraiser is an event to raise money for the People for Pets Magic Valley Humane Society. The event is scheduled for March 3rd, 2012 7pm-11pm at the Turf Club on Falls Ave. There will be live music, raffle, no host bar, variety of finger foods, and its a great night out for a great cause! Seating is limited and tickets are on sale now at the Magic Valley Humane Society $25 each or $45 per couple.

Magic Philharmonic Orchestra’s Pops Concert, Burley – Feb 7

Magic Philharmonic Orchestra’s Pops Concert, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at King Fine Arts Center, 2100 Park Ave., with more than 60 musicians from Mini-Cassia area. Dennis Byington is guest conductor and is the orchestra’s assistant conductor. He has a long list of theatrical pit orchestra performances and has conducted a number of large choirs. He is a violinist in the Magic Philharmonic and has served as a section leader. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for students, at Welch Music or Book Plaza in Burley and The Book Store in Rupert. Art and Foreign Film Series, “Hottest Ticket in Town,” presented by CSI’s Community Education Center and Twin Cinema 12, continues at Twin Cinema 12 Theatre on Eastland Drive. One film screened each week. Featured films:  7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 and 1 p.m. Feb. 5, “Martha, Marcy May, Marlene,” (Martha runs away from an abusive hippie-like cult where she was living as Marcy May for two years, and now has a hard time separating dreams from reality and haunting memories of her past keep resurfacing); An informal off-site gathering follows each film. Tickets are $9 each or $40 for the series of five movies, at Twin Cinema 12, CSI box office, 732-6288 or tickets.csi.edu.

The 35th annual Agri-Action with exhibits of agricultural products and services, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 2, Feb. 3 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at CSI’s Expo Center. Presented by Neuhoff Communications Group KMVT, KTID and KTWT. Admission is $1; children 6 and younger are admitted free. Free admission with donation of two or more nonperishable food items for South Central Community Action Partnerships.

Twin Falls Rotary Club of Twin Falls’ 7th Annual Death by Chocolate event, 6-9 p.m. Feb.. 2 at Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center, 330 Canyon Crest Drive. Local chefs will compete in five categories: chocolate cake, brownie, cookie, candy and unique dessert. Attendees and a panel of judges will sample and vote for their favorites in each category. The event includes music by the Jason Lugo Band, plus a no-host bar, silent auction and raffle. Proceeds benefit local charities including Valley House, Salvation Army, Jubilee House, student scholarships and more. Canyon Ridge High School drama department presents “Antigone” by Sophocles, an adaptation by Emily Mann, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25-28 in the school’s auditorium.  Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for students, at the door.
