Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – Nov 9

We are holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Twin Falls Senior Center to help keep their doors open. This event is open to ALL the public. All proceeds earned will go to the Twin Falls Senior Center. Dinner will include salad, spaghetti, bread, and dessert.

Hands On Wheel Thrown Pottery Classes for Adults Location: Hands On 208-736-4475 147 Shoshone Street North Twin Falls, ID 8 week adult pottery classes 830am-11am Tuesday OR Wednesday OR 6pm-830pm Tuesday OR Wednesday October 4,5 through November 22,23 2011 Maximum 3 students each class. Instructor: Paula Dodd, member of Magic Valley Arts Council. Artist on display: Full Moon Gallery. Friday Market, Downtown Twin Falls, Idaho. Beginner/hobbyist classes. Stoneware cone,
5 clay Lead-free, dishwasher, microwave & food safe cone 5 glazes. Learn the various aspects of wheel thrown pottery including how to: wedge, center, throw, trim, and glaze. Classes meet once a week as listed above with 2 hours instruction and final 1½ hour with routine clean up. Missed classes are lost unless canceled by the instructor. Cost for this 8 week session is $175 and includes glazes, kiln time, and the first 25# bag of clay. Pottery toolkit will be supplied to first time students. Additional clay supplies can be purchased as needed. Short clipped fingernails are essential to optimum clay manipulations. Also short sleeves plus apron plus lap towel highly recommended. Weeks 1-6 of instruction will include how to wedge, center, throw, and trim clay. We will spend time getting the feel of the clay and practicing techniques to yield simple forms such as bowls, mugs, vases, etc. Week 6 will be the last time to throw; final trimming and the bisque firing at week 7. Week 8 will be final glaze firing. Pots will be picked later
Our Savior Lutheran Craft Fair – Nov 5

Approximately 24 vendors will be set up for the Craft Fair this weekend. From quilts to homemade items check out this event going on at Our Savior Lutheran in Twin falls. Proceeds will be given to a local benefit. Lunch will also be served and you can attend the fair for only $1. It will be held on Saturday, November 5th 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
